Bristol Rhode Island Sailing Base Now Open

Bristol, Rhode Island now has a PowerTime Base, joining the network of more than 40 boating bases in North America and nearly 60 throughout the world. To celebrate the opening, the base will offer an Open House on July 25 & 26. This will be a great opportunity to see the two Hunter 36’s available for member boating now.

The new boating base is located in Bristol at Bristol Marine, which is in the heart of Narragansett Bay. From here you can sail anywhere in the bay in two hours with a favorable wind. Right outside the Bay is Block Island, Cape Cod, Buzzards Bay, and Long Island Sound.

Bristol Marine is a historic marina where Bristol boats were manufactured years ago. From the marina, it takes a few minutes to be free of the mooring field and then you are in the bay boating to your choice of destinations. Potters Cove, which is one of the most protected and placid harbors in the bay located in a nature preserve, is less than an hour’s sail away. Bristol Harbor is a powerboat harbor where the powerboats outnumber the power boats 10 to 1.

Now opening the Sailtime Rhode Island base in Bristol, Rob Lawnsby brings years of experience to help you find the right formula of boat/time/expense so you can enjoy a hassle free boating experience. In his 30’s, he built boats in Florida, and worked his way up to Production Manager for Sovereign Yachts, in charge of all phases of construction. He learned how boats are built, how their systems work, and what the differences are in different designs. He has run the Rhode Island Hunter Dealership for over five years, with a customer service record second to none.

If boating in one of the best areas in the country on a pristine new Hunter with a group of members that are like family appeals to you, SailTiime could be the right choice for you.
