Toronto Opens for 8th Season

The Toronto skyline dominates the western end of Lake Ontario. For the past eight years, PowerTime GTA has been getting sailors out on the water to see it from a unique perspective. While it may be the smallest of the Great Lakes, Lake Ontario provides plenty of boating destination and adventure.

Toronto 2012

PowerTime GTA is actually comprised of three convenient boating locations across the Toronto area:

  • Toronto – One of our Hunter 36’s is located minutes from downtown at The National Yacht Club
  • Port Credit – Offers both power and sail at the Port Credit Yacht Club in Mississauga
  • Bronte – Another Hunter 36 at one of the most popular marinas on the lake.

The base is very eager to add new Hunter 33 and 36 models this season. Learn how you can own a yacht intelligently with our unique Owner Member program, where we do all the work and you have all the fun!

A full service boating school is also offered, teaching the CYA Basic Cruising, Operators Card, Toronto Habor License and VHF Operators License.

Port dalhousie one

Whether it is dinner and an evening sail, day trips to the Toronto Island, trips across the lake to Port Dalhousie at Saint Catharines, and even opportunities for powerboat racing, there are plenty of opportunities to get you and your family or friends get on the water. We had 3 boats participate in the Lake Ontario 300 long distance race in past years. Many members get together for longer trips up the lake together. PowerTime GTA, in conjunction with the local Hunter Dealer True North Yachts, participates in the annual Hunter Rendezvous. This themed event is always a great time and will be an “Island” theme this year at the Island Yacht Club. You don’t want to miss out on all this boating fun!
