This Winter is a busy time for us with boat shows. After all, most of the country is covered in snow and ice. How else are sailors going to keep from going crazy? We love the Winter show season because we get to meet all sorts of eager people who want to get on the water in the coming year. Perhaps we are biased, but we think we provide the easiest way for anybody to get started in big boat boating without the big bucks!
Toronto International Boat Show – January 8 to 16 ::: For the 7th consecutive year, the Toronto base will be handing out their signature caramels from the popular booth at the Direct Energy Centre, Exhibition Place for 9 days in early January. This is the 53rd year for Canada’s largest boating showcase where our Toronto base with three locations will be talking with people about sail and powerboat membership opportunities. Show hours are 10am to 6pm on weekdays, 10am to 7pm on Saturdays and 10am to 6pm on Sundays.
Chicago Boat and RV Show – January 12 to 16 ::: For the first time ever, we will be showing a Rinker powerboat at the Midwest’s largest Winter powerboat show. Our intentions at this show are to sell the first powerboat into the Chicago fleet! We understand the price for the Rinker 310 we are offering is fa antastic bargain and that several prospective powerboat Members are eagerly awaiting this boat to become a member of in Chicago. Show hours are 2pm to 9pm on Wednesday, 11am to 9pm on Thursday and Friday, 10am to 9pm on Saturday and 10am to 5pm on Sunday.
San Diego Sunroad Boat Show – January 27 to 30 ::: Both the San Diego and Newport Beach bases will be in attendance at this show which draws people from all across the country looking to get out of the cold, if for only one weekend, as well as a throng of local sailors. The San Diego base will be showing their Hunter 38 in the water for you to see. Held at the beautiful Sunroad Marina on the East end of Harbor Island, the show runs from noon to 6pm on Thursday and Friday and 10am to 6pm on Saturday and Sunday. The Newport Beach base is in attendance especially seeking their next Owner Member looking to place a new 36-50 foot Hunter powerboat into their fleet.
Strictly Sail Chicago – January 26 to 30 ::: Both the Chicago and Milwaukee bases will be exhibiting at this years’ most popular winter show, held inside at Navy Pier. You will find them once again, featured at the huge Hunter Marine booth. The show special being offered is one free month of membership. Show hours are 11am to 8pm on Thursday and Friday, 9am to 7pm on Saturday and 10am to 5pm on Sunday.
Atlantic City Boat Show – February 2 to 6 ::: Both the Philadelphia and Jersey Shore bases will be showing at New Jersey’s premier winter boat exhibition. You can climb aboard a new Hunter 33 while you are there. As a winter activity, this is the best place in the mid-Atlantic region for boaters to see new gear, boats, accessories and attend educational and fun seminars. Show hours are 11am to 8pm Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, 10am to 8pm on Saturday and 10am to 5pm on Sunday
Strictly Sail Miami – February 17 to 21 ::: As of this writing we do not have details, but expect that our Miami base will be in attendance, like every year, at this great Winter warm-weather respite for sailors which is returning to Miamarina at Bayside. Show hours are 10am to 6pm daily.
New England Boat Show – February 26 to March 6 ::: Both the Boston and the Rhode Island bases will be exhibiting at this big winter boat show held at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center for a total of nine days just as winter begins to wane. Both bases are looking for prospective boat owners who would like to place new hunter powerboats into these fleets. Membership and ownership special deals are promised but not detailed as of this writing. Show hours are Monday through Friday from noon to 8pm, Saturdays from 10am to 8pm, Sunday Feb 27 from 11am to 6pm and Sunday March 6 from 11am to 5:30pm.
With seven shows spread across the continent and several of our bases in attendance at them, the winter boat show season is a great time of year to turn your dreams into reality.
