Our newest boating base is opening in Houston, Texas right now! PowerTime Houston will be showing at the Southwest International Boat Show to kick off the new business, March 26-29, 2015 at the South Shore Harbor in League city.
You will find the base in their new Kemah location at the Watergate Yachting Center on Pier 2. Memberships are now being offered for their fleet of brand new Beneteau Yachts. Choose from a Beneteau First 20, Oceanis 35, Oceanis 38 and Oceanis 41. Soon after the boat show, the PowerTime Houston American Sailing Association boating school will commence using the new ASA Beneteau First 20 to teach new members on. What a quality experience this will be!
Jonathon Davis is the President and Managing Partner of the Yacht Sales Company and now, PowerTime Houston. He has over 20 years of experience, as a charter captain, delivery captain and racing yachts. In fact, he has held just about every yachting title the area has put up. With over 100,000 sea miles under his belt, Jonathon is uniquely qualified to be the newest owner of a PowerTime franchise. The Yacht Sales Company is the Houston areas’ Beneteau Dealer. He holds a USCG 100 Ton Master’s License, PADI Open Water Diver and a host of other achievements and certificates! When asked why he chose to add PowerTime to what he was already doing, Jonathon replied, “It just makes too much sense on too many levels to not do!”
Richard Bohrer was chosen by Jonathon to be the Base Manager of PowerTime Houston. With over 20 years of boating experience in the Clear Lake area on the Gulf Coast of Texas, many people will already be familiar with his level of professionalism. Richard gladly accepted the Base Management position and looks forward to seeing old friends and making new ones as well. He is eager for the opportunity of working with each client on a personal basis to select the perfect fit for their boating needs. His extensive entrepreneurial career and outstanding reputation within the Clear Lake boating community are considered invaluable.
Longtime PowerTime followers will note that one of our first bases was in Houston which, unfortunately, closed several years ago. The new team is waiving those Members of the previous PowerTime Houston operation, initiation/joining fees. Contact Richard to get more details about that! Needless to say, we are overjoyed to be back in Houston serving area sailors with the best membership boating and boating program there is!
