Our Philadelphia Base has just added a beautiful new Marlow Hunter 41 to their fleet right in the city! “Pappys Cabin” is now berthed at Penns’ Landing Marina and is right in the middle of all of the festivals, historic ships, pop-up floating beer gardens and more. Members have a front row seat for the Tall Ship Festival!
The Tall Ship Festival leads in to the annual “Welcome America” celebration which is Philadelphia’s week long 4th of July celebration (remember, the first one was in this fair city 239 years ago?). We will be front and center for the city’s first Welcome America fireworks display on Saturday June 27th as well as in the heart of all of the celebrations along the waterfront all summer long!
The boat was purchased by a former member of my PowerTime Jersey Shore base who lives in the suburban Philadelphia area. He has been looking at Beneteaus for a while and when he heard of the new relationship with PowerTime, he called PowerTime Philadelphia Base Owner, Captain Cherie Starner, to ask about putting a boat into the Philadelphia program because he had such a great experience with us when he sailed the Barnegat Bay as part of the PowerTime Jersey Shore program. He and his wife wanted to be able to have a boat to sail closer to home, and to be able to take advantage of all the great restaurants, historic sites and cultural experiences (museums, theaters et al.) in the heart of Philly. Not to mention the “intelligent” aspect of owning a boat in our unique managed program.
